In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan «On Additional Measures to Increase the Efficiency of Energy Resources Use» dated June 14, 2024, target indicators for electricity and gas savings have been established across the republic.

Measures were taken to improve energy efficiency in the country, to save energy resources, to create a staff of energy managers in the country and to establish a staff of energy managers in the country.

Also, based on this document, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the German Energy Agency (DENA) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), was tasked with organizing training courses on energy efficiency and energy management at the National Research Institute for Renewable Energy Sources.

In collaboration with DENA, an Uzbek-German training center was opened at this institute. This center trains specialists in the field of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency.

Jobir Akhadov, Deputy Director of the National Research Institute of Renewable Energy Sources, noted that since December 2, training sessions have been held at this training center in collaboration with the German companies DENA, RENAC, and Eclareon.

– These companies are organizing trainings on the training and retraining of specialists in energy efficiency and renewable energy sources based on German experience. In particular, practical lessons are being conducted by specialists from the Renewable Energy Academy (RENAC) Frank Schillig and Fouzi Thabet. Specialists from relevant universities and scientific institutions in our country are participating in the trainings, – said J. Akhadov.

It should be noted that in November, in collaboration with JICA, training sessions based on Japanese experience were held for the institute’s trainers.
