To secure the success of Germany’s energy transition, the Energiewende, within larger efforts to achieve the energy policy objectives laid out in the Paris Agreement, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) established ongoing dialogues and formal partnerships with over 20 partner countries so far. The Renewables Academy (RENAC) AG was part of a consortium of project partners that supports the BMWK in its endeavour to foster cooperation and the exchange of knowledge on energy and climate policy with Australia and New Zealand. The bilateral activities were coordinated by the German Secretariat for the Energy Cooperation with Australia and New Zealand in Sydney.
