TREE – Transfer Renewable Energy and Efficiency

TREE (Transfer Renewable Energy and Efficiency) was a capacity building and know-how transfer project, realised in several project phases. TREE was a education project especially for participants from the public sector and financing institutions. It offered comprehensive training on technical, legal and economic aspects of renewable energy technologies. Participants from each of the target countries were offered a range of training opportunities, combining training seminar in their home country, and technical seminars at the RENAC training centre in Berlin. Within the TREE project around 1500 participants from 90 countries has been trained. The TREE project was recognised by UNESCO as an official project of the “UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development“ program.
