RENAC’s in-person courses expanded to include hydrogen and wind turbine technology

The Renewables Academy (RENAC) will again offer its in-person training sessions in 2023, welcoming participants from around the globe to its Berlin premises this spring and summer. This year’s offering has been expanded to cover the increasingly relevant topic of green hydrogen, with the first English-language course scheduled to begin the week of 24 April. In addition, the renowned Green Energy Summer School (GESS) will take place in August and September, featuring a new course on wind turbine technology.

Starting on 21 August, RENAC will once again open its Berlin training centre for the popular Green Energy Summer School (GESS). Over the course of three weeks, participants can attend the English-language courses Introduction to Renewable Energy Technologies, Management and Economics of Photovoltaic (PV) Projects, and Wind Turbine Technology.

“RENAC has been working on green hydrogen for some time, and following the successful launch of our online programme on the topic, we are thrilled to now be able to offer an in-person course on this highly-demanded area as well, starting at the end of April,” says RENAC’s CEO, Berthold Breid. “On-site group training provides an experience that simply cannot be replicated elsewhere. Our in-person courses are designed to deliver high-level professional development for the international renewable energy workforce, addressing the growing global demand for skilled professionals in the field.”

The Introduction to Renewable Energy Technologies course, available in April and August, is designed for professionals from various backgrounds looking to enhance their career prospects by gaining a better understanding of renewable energy technologies.

The Management and Economics of Photovoltaic (PV) Projects course delves into PV markets and technologies, solar power project management, and financing strategies for PV projects.

Finally, the brand new Wind Turbine Technology course prepares participants to take on diverse roles in the wind power industry, upskilling them as managers, engineers, project developers, analysts, and inspectors. The course covers the latest wind turbine generator technologies and how turbines are manufactured. It also explains how they are deployed in wind farms to reliably and competitively produce green power.

Led by industry experts, the courses combine lectures, case studies, practical exercises, and visits to renewable energy plants, ensuring participants acquire both a theoretical and a practical understanding of the content.

Offered in English, these courses can be taken individually or as a package, with discounts available for group bookings and multiple registrations.

The Renewables Academy (RENAC) AG is one of the leading international providers of training and education programmes and capacity building services in the fields of renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency. Since 2008, more than 30,000 participants from over 165 countries have taken part in RENAC training courses and programmes. These are delivered via online, in-person, and blended learning formats.
